Community engagement is a core value of the Campbell Rhododendron Gardens. The Gardens host seasonal events such as the Spring Welcome Weeks which is part of the Blackheath Rhododendron Festival, and the Easter Gnome Convention invites community groups to become involved. School groups frequently use the gardens as part of their educational programs, university students carry out studies on the flora and fauna, and volunteer opportunities encourage people of all ages to connect with nature and contribute to the preservation and growth of the Gardens.
